Maine Needs is a grassroots nonprofit fueled by volunteers and donations. There are opportunities available to donate goods (clothing, outerwear, etc.), create "essential" kits, or money towards community efforts. Maine Needs is located in Portland on 332 Forest Avenue. There are certain items that they are in need of more than others, with specific drop off times.

Neighbors in Need is a Facebook group of 2000+ Mainers who aim to help immigrants, primarily refugees and asylum seekers, that are new to our state. The page serves two functions:

1. People posting in search of specific items/services for a new Mainer.

2. Neighbors posting items they have to give away that someone else may find of use.
